Craftymess DT Make

Good morning everyone, hope you are all feeling well and crafty. This is my DT post for Cratymess, it was my choice this time so I decided to try something a little different using an animal and the colour theme is blue.
I decided to go with something a little different and design a front cover for a pad, I covered the front page in blue pearlised card, then used my nestie shapes to cut out the topper shapes, a great tip for you is if you cut the nestie out in your machine, then use the same nestie and draw round the outside of the nestie onto another piece of card/paper it will give you a slightly bigger border nestie. Added my Wild Rose Studio image coloured with pro markers sticking to the blue theme where possible. Then to finish off I added blue floral ribbon, blue heart gems and the words.

DT Post for QKR

Just thought I would share with you my latest make with the QKR digi stamps. I wanted to show you how easy it was to make these cards really complex and very details or just simple.
This one is a simple one this time using the digi image of a lady bug on a flower http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi7703.
I coloured the lady bug and flower in my pro markers, then used the sentiment Give Me A Hug
http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi14505&cat=74, mounted it onto green card. Used my nesties scalloped circles to cut some paper and then backed onto some green to help it stand out. I then used my hougie board and scored a square type pattern to bring the card to life. Plain and simple but effective I think, especially for a notecard.

I would love you all to take a look at my blog, to see some other designs I have done using QKR and other stamps http://gemshandmadecards.blogspot.co.uk/

Eureka Stamps DT Post

Good morning everyone hope you are all well and crafty?
Well here is another little card from me using the Giraffe Digi. I decided to use slightly different colours than your normal giraffe, so went with red for the heart shapes on him and yellow and brown. I think it works quite well and really like the end product.
The giraffe http://www.eurekastamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi12801, I coloured using my pro markers, then added some red card along the middle of the card, found some floral and swirl card in natural colours, added these on top of the red, added the giraffe and the sentiment Friends Forever, then to finish off I used some yellow pearls. All attached to the card base which is from Hunkeydory.
I really like this digi and it can be used for most occasions.

QKR Challenge Blog Post

Good Morning everyone, hope you are well on this fine day. By the time you are reading this I will be on my way to Butlins with my family.
Well here is the first QKR Challenge Blog Post, the theme was summer ending so decided to use http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi8602, digi image of the sun which I coloured in my pro markers with the sentiment "The tans will fade but the memories will last forever". I thought this was quite fitting for this challenge.
I used cordination card for the backing and added some co-ordinating paper to match, to finish I added some flower border again coloured in with pro markers and some candi to finish it off.

Eureka Stamps Challenge Blog

Good Morning everyone, well Eureka Stamps is changed their blog, they now do a challenge, so you can take part in them as well as the DT.

The first challenge was back to school, so thought I would decorate the front of a book. I used the image of two girls on the bench talking
http://www.eurekastamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi5906, I coloured this in my promarkers then added the blackboard background which a friend gave me, then added the Eureka sentiment
I think this works really well as it about school and friends.

Desmet DT post

Good Morning everyone, well it has been a scorcher over the past few days, just right for the school holidays. Hope you are all not to effected by the heat? My children were not too well so have been keeping them in doors till the garden is in the shade.
That is enough about me, I have decided to make something a little different rather than a card. I went with the Apple Tree Image from Desmet Designs for my DT.
I used the shaped square shape for the background, then colour the image using my promarkers and added some bricks to the house. I put some paper on in a diamond shape, added the little pad with the same papers and card as the background and to finish it off I added some butterflies (by Martha Stewart), some border peel offs and the words New Home cut from my sizzex die.

More information can be found on the Desment Challenge blog so get your entries in http://desmetdt.blogspot.co.uk/
